Belief-shifting content is NOT convincing your ideal clients.

Yesterday when I made a post on creating more authority-building and belief-shifting content to position yourself as a thought leader, I got this question:

"Do we need to convince them to become our clients?"

The short answer is No. It's actually far from it.

Your ideal client has a pain point and they're highly motivated to solve it.

They're not window shoppers or people who think it would be "nice to have a solution" to their problem.

They wanted a solution like yesterday!

And because of that, they've tried a bunch of stuff but none of them could give the results they desire or if they did get the results, they didn't like the process.

Naturally, they're disillusioned with everything they've tried but they're still seeking a solution — they just don't know what that solution is exactly but they're determined to solve their problem.

That's where your belief-shifting content comes in.

You educate them why the other solutions have not worked for them (I do this in a non-judgemental respectful way).

Then you explain your process and how you've created your signature method/offer specifically for their profile, their pain points and aspiration.

Add in your origin story and what led you to discovering this solution.

In short, you're helping them shift their perception (or even identity and belief about a certain thing) to amke them realize the real stuff that need to truly solve their problem and achieve their desires.

This is belief-shifting content.

We don't convince anyone here.

Instead, we only speak to the seekers who are already looking for a solution but in wrong places because they've not been guided to see things differently and get what actually matters.

A good example could be a gut healing coach who writes a belief-shifting content where her ideal client is tired of consuming plethora of expensive supplements everyday and still be deficient in vital nutrients. This disrupts their work, energy, sleep and daily life.

The real reason: If their gut is inflamed or infected, no amount of supplements will help because they simply can't absorb it. On the other hand, if they heal their gut, there are high chances they won't even need supplements (or need very little). Because their regular healthy diet will be sufficient for daily nutrients.

So focussing on healing their gut (and not stacking more supplements) will help them sleep better, manage chronic health issues and have more energy in their life for the things that matter to them.

Over here, this gut healing coach is not convincing anyone. But she is addressing a common frustration that her ideal clients experience with other health programs because they were never shown the other side of healing nutritional deficiencies i.e. gut inflammation.

Basically, they don't know what they don't know.

This is a classic example of a belief-shifting content where you shift the belief/perspective/identity of your ideal client to look at their problems and aspirations from a whole different angle.

This positions you an an authority in your niche and a magnetic thought leader who fills in their mid to high ticket offers with dream clients consistently and predictably.
